Apply for Retention Permission for development within the grounds of Thornhill Oaks, and Thornhill House, a Protected Structure (RPS. 936). The development consists of the retention of an following: (i) Omission of railings to perimeter of central green; (ii) Omission of 4no. x pedestrian gates to the central green; (iii) Omission of hedge to perimeter of the central green; (iv) Omission of pedestrian crossing to the road on the southern side of the central green; (v) Addition of a low metal fence to centre/side of new hedge boundaries to rear gardens of Thornhill House & Houses 60 - 64 (inclusive); (vi) Provision of a pedestrian gate to the rendered blockwork wall to the southern boundary of the rear garden of House 64; (vii) Relocation of water feature from side boundary wall of House No. 64 to inner face of wall to communal courtyard serving Houses 60 to 64.

Permission for development. The proposed development will consist of the reconfiguration and redesign of the permitted housing units (Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Reg. Ref. D17A/0240; An Bord Pleanála Ref. PL06D.300244) to provide an increase from 9 No. houses (comprising 4no. four bed and 5no. five bed units) to 15 No. houses (comprising 3no. three bed and 12no. four bed units). Additional works include reconfiguration of the internal road layout, relocation of ESB substation, amendments to hard and soft landscaping, boundary treatment works and all associated works above and below ground. No works are proposed to Thornhill House (RPS No. 936), under this planning application.
