Construction of 90MW Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Scheme (PHES). The Gortavehy 90MW pumped hydro energy storage scheme will consist of an upper reservoir & a peat storage bund with embankments and an upper intake structure. A lower reservoir with a dam & spillway & lower intake structure. An underground power house. Underground tunnels consisting of a penstock, a tailrace & an access tunnel connecting to the power house. An outdoor 110kV switchyard with connection works. Permanent access roads & a new site entrance on the L1130. Percolation area with a wastewater treatment unit. Site boundary treatments including walls, fencing & landscaping, underground services, on site disposal of surface & storm water to settlement ponds & associated & ancillary site development works
