Proposed development

Application description published by Cork County Council.
The installation of 84 roof-mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels on the South-facing roof structure of the Northern wing of the project, and all associated works, at the proposed new two storey primary School (Cork County Council ref 15/4230). The addition of these photovoltaic panels is in order to comply with the requirements of TGD Part L 2017 – Buildings other than Dwellings, which requires the provision of 10% on-site renewable energy sources in addition to the buildings’s primary energy usage being reduced by a further 10%. DoES TGD 033 outlines that renewable requirements must be met by the use of photovoltaic panels.
