F20A/0295: Permission for a single-storey free standing c.5m tall substation (approximately 18m x 21m), within which will be enclosed; a medium voltage ring main unit room; a medium voltage switch gear distribution room; a communications room; a transformer room; a generator change over panel room; a generator room; a main distribution room; and an entrance lobby. The substation will be built on a new area of hardstanding consisting of approximately 1,600 sqm of pavement. At the eastern elevation of the substation, a bunded fuel tank area is proposed which will have a maximum height of approximately 3.5m. At the south-east corner of the sub-station a single high mast light with a maximum height of 23m above the ground floor level is proposed. The substation will be linked by underground cables to the internal electrification of the airport. This will replace the exiating temporary substation located to the east of Apron 5G.
