SDZ04A/1: Development comprising 407 dwellings consisting of 18 no. one-bedroom units, 88 no. two-bedroom units, 264 no. three-bedroom units and 37 no. four-bedroom units in a mixture of apartments, duplexes and townhouses ranging in height from two to five storeys. Site development and landscape works including the provision of the Railway Station Access Road from the Newcastle Road to a point of approx. 815 metres into the site, including provision for a bus turning route and lay-by/temporary terminus. Vehicular access shall be taken from the R120 Lock Road/Newcastle Road via a new junction layout with the Finnstown Cloisters housing scheme, opposite Finnslawn, including associated traffic management improvement measures. Permission is also sought for widening and upgrading of the R120 Lock Road/Newcastle Road over a distance of approx. 220 metres between a point approx. 35m south of the entrance to Finnstown House and Golf Course, and a point 93m south of the junction with the Finnstown Cloisters housing scheme, opposite Finnslawn. A temporary construction access is to be taken off the R120 Lock Road/Newcastle Road and this will remain in place for up to three years from the date of permission after which time it will be closed off and the lands will be landscaped in accordance with the landscape masterplan for the development all on a site approx 12.21 hectares on lands bounded generally by Finnstown House and Golf Course to the north, the R120 Lock Road/Newcastle Road to the east and the Dublin to Kildare railway line to the south in the townlands of Finnstown and Adamstown, Lucan, Co. Dublin. The development will take place entirely within the boundaries of Adamstown Strategic Development Zone as defined by statutory instrument no. 272 of 2001.
