PROTECTED STRUCTURE:The application consists of the repair and refurbishment of the existing mews, into a residence for accommodation requirements associated with the duties of the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) based at 73 Merrion Square and includes, 1. Provision of new entrance and ancillary accommodation on the ground floor plan including 12.5m2 of new extension to the existing, 2. New arrangement and partitions on the first floor to provide bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining, living and study areas including 2.8m2 first floor extension on the south elevation, 3. Amendments to the south elevation (facing Fitzwilliam Lane) to include first floor extension, amendments to existing window openings, provision of a new window opening & installation of external insulation, 4. Amendments to the north elevation including a revised vehicular and pedestrian opening, new window installation into existing window openings & installation of external insulation, 5.The addition of 4 no. new roof-lights to the existing double pitched roof including 1 no. between the front and rear hipped roofs, 1 no. to the east facing hip of the front/south hipped roof and 2 no. to the north facing pitch of the rear/north hipped roof, 6. The demolition of the existing non-historic boundary wall to Fitzwilliam Lane and the provision of new pedestrian and vehicular gates and entrances to the boundary and, 7. External landscaping associated with the above.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission is sought for repair, reinstatement and renovation works to existing upper floors (ground, first, second and third floors) of existing building in established office use, and change of use from night club to offices of area c 150 sq.m at basement level only, all to existing four-storey over basement terraced building, of area c.508 sq.m. which is a Protected Structure, (RPS Ref.425), at 127 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2 for Lenman Investments Limited. The proposed development comprises demolition of an existing two-storey (74sq.m.) dwelling house as well as part-demolition and reconstruction / conservation of the existing ashlar limestone walls bounding the subject site. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission is sought for the installation of 2 nos. flagpoles at first floor level on the outside of the building which is a protected structure and the installation of a plaque at ground floor level adjacent to the front door.

PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission for development at 58 Pembroke Lane, Dublin 2, D02 Y198, to the rear of 58 Fitzwilliam Square, a protected structure. The development will consist of the demolition of the existing roof, entrance wall, gates and external stairs and alterations to the existing facades. The construction of 2 no. single-storey extensions to the existing 2 no. ground floor studios to create 2-bedroom apartments with private outdoor space to rear with boundary walls, the extension of the 2 no. first floor studios to create 2 no, 2-bedroom apartments by the addition of a second floor extension below the existing ridgeline incorporating balconies to the rear and shared terrace to the front, new laneway entrance gates and structure, the provision of 1 no. car park space, bicycle spaces, bin store and stairs in yard, repairs to the original stone boundary walls and associated site works and landscaping.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Planning permission at 58 Fitzwilliam Square North, Dublin 2, D02 Hp73, a Protected Structure, RPS. 2853. The development will consist of restoration works to the brick facade on the south facing elevation of the protected structure, including repair, re-pointing and consolidation of the brickwork.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Planning permission for development at Stephen Court, 18-21 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 (D02N960). The front of the site faces onto St. Stephen's Green and the rear onto Joshua Lane. Vehicular access is provided to the rear, from Dawson Street via Joshua Lane. The western and eastern boundaries on St. Stephen's Green are formed by No's. 17 and 22 St. Stephen's Green, respectively (both Protected Structures). The proposal includes development within the former curtilage of No. 17 St. Stephen's Green, a Protected Structure. The proposal includes the demolition of all existing structures on site and the construction of new structures, as detailed below. Demolition: -The demolition of the existing office development (c. 14,086 sq m. including a coffee shop) comprising 3 no. interlinked blocks ranging in height from 6 storeys (c.20m + setback penthouse floor) facing St. Stephen's Green, to 7 storeys (c. 23.2m + setback plant floor) at the rear; and Construction: - The construction of a new office development (c. 21,219 sq m), including an associated arts facility (c. 494 sq m) and retail outlet (c. 72 sq m), and, additionally, a new publicly accessible landscaped courtyard (c. 575 sq m). The proposed development will range in height from 5 storeys (c. 20.6 m) on the St Stephen's Green frontage, through setback floors of 6 to 7 storeys (up to c. 28.75 m) to the rear, giving a maximum overall height, including rooftop plant, of c. 31.8 m. The scheme includes external terraces facing St Stephen's Green at 5th and 6th Floor levels. The existing 211 car spaces will reduce to 35 spaces, accommodated at basement level, accessed via Joshua Lane, with 6 additional car spaces provided for No.17 St. Stephens Green (with these accessed through an existing entrance on St. Stephens Green). 297 bicycle spaces will be provided, including 9 cargo bike spaces and 14 visitor spaces. The proposed development includes associated plant, landscaping and ancillary development and site works-above and below ground.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The development will consist of the replacement of the existing entrance lobby with a new aluminium framed draught lobby and the redesign of the existing plaza to the front of the building.
Permission for a) Proposed change of use of the ground floor of the former St. Vincent's Hospital doctors sleeping quarters to function rooms, kitchen, bin store and sanitary facilities associated with the existing public house, b) Alterations to existing public house consisting of the relocation of the sanitary facilities, c) Extension, linking buildings, containing universal WC and associated alterations, d) Alterations to ground floor facade to Leeson Lane to accommodate new exit to building to the rear of 100 Leeson Street Lower fronting onto Leeson Lane, Dublin 2.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: PERMISSION is sought by the Embassy of France in Ireland for refurbishment and upgrading works to existing windows and doors to four storey over basement mid terrace building at No. 66 Merrion Square, D02 WY11 Dublin 2 (protected structure reference 5164 on the record of protected structures). Proposed works to allow for like-for-like repairs to existing non-. original single glazed timber windows frames and sashes including putty, paintwork and draft sealing. 20no. one-over-one timber sash windows to front and rear of the building to be upgraded to new slim profile double glazed units. Works to include internal secondary glazing to all other windows in addition to proposed refurbishment works.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Planning permission is sought for material alterations to the existing two storey mid-terrace mews office building (ridge height circa 7 metres above ground level). The mews was rebuilt in mid 20th Century and is within the curtiledge of a protected structure listed in the Dublin City Council Record of Protected Structures (RPS) No 357. The application includes the following works: - Removal of existing corrugated asbestos sheets roof and replaced with natural slate roof and reinstated to the original Mews ridge height (7.3 Meters above Ground Level) to align with adjacent terrace buildings. - Alterations to elevation to Little Fitzwilliam Place consisting of new door opening, new window opening and timber sliding sash at first floor, replacement of mid-20th Century casement window with timber sliding sash at first floor. - Removal of sand/cement render and replacement with lime harling coat finish. - Construction of first floor single storey extension (9.4 sqm) to rear to incorporate wc facilities and winter garden balcony at first floor. - Internal alterations to include new access stairs at ground floor (5 sqm), re-organisation of first floor office area (39.6 sqm) featuring an open-plan office with new kitchenette. - New mechanical and electrical works throughout.
Planning permission is sought for the continued use of the existing 18m lattice type tapered telecommunications structure carrying antennae and communication dishes, within a 2.4m fenced compound for a further 12 months, up until 4th July 2022 (previous planning permission Ref: 2431/16 refers to allow for the completion of the redevelopment works being carried out to 27 Fitzwilliam Street) at ESB Multi-Storey Car Park, Fitzwilliam Lane, Dublin 2.

Permission for development at No. 62 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2 - A Protected Structure, RPS Ref: 2857. The development will consist of the following: Repair, consolidation and re-pointing of the brickwork to the front facade (south elevation) which faces Fitzwilliam Square. Pointing will be Irish tuck pointing, using natural hydraulic lime mortars carried out by conservation specialists. No other works are proposed.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission is sought by The Marist Educational Authority for modifications to the previously approved proposal [under Dublin City Council Reg.Ref. 5010/22] for the redevelopment of the existing three storey Canteen and Classroom Building in the south/east corner of the campus at Catholic University School [CUS] 89,90,91and 92 Leeson Street Lower, Dublin2. Numbers 89,90,91 + 92 Leeson Street Lower are Protected Structures – Ref numbers 4444, 4445, 4446, 4447 in the DCC Record of Protected Structures. The approved building consisted of a Gym at basement level, with an access tunnel link to the Administration building, and the equivalent of five floors overhead. The new proposal consists of constructing the Gym at ground floor level with the equivalent of four floors overhead. The access tunnel link is removed as is the fifth floor. The parapet height of the proposed building will line with the apex of the gable to the Examination Hall and will be circa 305mm higher than the previously approved building. Accommodation will consist of a Gym with equipment storage rooms at ground floor level, changing rooms at mezzanine and first floor levels, 2No. Classrooms + 2No. Science Rooms at second and third floor levels. Other ancillary spaces, including Toilets, Locker areas and Science Preparation rooms, are to be provided at each level as appropriate. To facilitate means of escape from the new ground floor Gym, escape doors are to be provided at the eastern end to Quinn’s Lane, the western end to Stable Lane, and the northern end to the school yard. A fireman’s entrance is to be provided in the staircase to allow access from Quinn’s Lane. There are no works envisaged to the Examination Hall.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The works include the removal of the two storey prefabricated buildings on the northern side of the campus to facilitate the construction of a new two storey over basement building parallel to and with a high level glazed link to the existing Chapel/Gym. This new building is to incorporate a Fitness Suite and Technology Room at basement level, a new Canteen at ground floor level and Classrooms with associated Office at first floor level. Solar panels are to be installed on the roof of this building, The existing Chapel/Gym building is to be modified internally to provide student Social Space at the western end and a tiered Lecture Theatre at the eastern end. Specific modifications to this building will include the addition of toilet facilities under the gallery at the western end, the creation of new under window cill access's midway on the northern and southern facades to link the proposed Social Space to both the Canteen and to a new external landscaped area. In addition, glazed roof lighting is to be provided in the central bay together with double doors in the eastern gable to provide access from the upper level of the Lecture Theatre to the first floor level of the Classroom blocks. The existing three storey Canteen and Classroom Building in the south/east corner of the campus is to be demolished to make way for a new three storey over basement building incorporating a new Gym with equipment storage rooms at basement level, 6 Classrooms at first floor level and 2 Classrooms and 2 Science Rooms at second and third floor levels. Plant rooms are to be located at basement and ground floor level at the western end to include direct access to Stable Lane. Other ancillary spaces, including Toilets, Locker Areas and Science Preparation Rooms, are to be provided at each level as appropriate. To facilitate means of escape from the new basement Gym, a staircase is also to be provided at the western end to give direct escape to Stable Lane. Escape doors are to be provided on the eastern end to Quinn's Lane from the stair core between this building and the existing Examination Hall. There are no works envisaged to this Examination Hall. For connectivity, a Tunnel is to be constructed from the existing Administration/Classroom Building on the northern side to provide direct access to the stair and lift cores in this new building from the Changing Rooms in the basement of this existing building and to the proposed fitness suite. In order to construct a Student Entrance to the overall new facility, modifications will be required to the western end of the existing Administration/Classroom Building. 89 and 90 Leeson Street Lower are to be refurbished for use as Administration and support Offices to the school. The adjoining houses, 91 and 92 Leeson Street Lower are to be refurbished to provide a total of 10no. apartments consisting of 1no. one bedroomed apartments in each house at basement, ground and first floor levels and2no.two bedroomed apartments in each house at second + third floor levels with other associated ancillary uses in the two storey over basement return building at 92. Numbers 89, 90, 91 and 92 Leeson Street Lower are Protected Structures - ref. numbers 4444, 4445, 4446 and 4447 in the DCC Record of Protected Structures. The works will include the removal of all subterranean ancillary extensions to the rear of 89 to 92 to create a soft landscaped garden for the full width of the houses for use by staff and students to the rear of 89 and 90 and to provide private open space for the residential units in 91 and 92. The western gable wall of the Chapel/Gym building is to be linked to the existing student access corridor from Leeson Street Lower by way of a fully glazed suspended bridge over the new landscaped garden. Other ancillary works are to include some internal modifications to the classroom block and to the stand alone Junior School building together with extensive on site landscaping. A temporary construction access is to be formed from Quinns Lane to the site for the duration of the build.

Solar panels and north light roof windows will be fitted at roof level over the Arts + Crafts room. Surface water will be harvested. 89 + 90 will be refurbished for use as administration and support offices and 91 + 92 will be refurbished for use as residential apartments incorporating 2 no. 2 bedroomed duplex apartments at ground + basement level, 2no. 1 bedroomed apartments at first floor level and 2no. 3 bedroomed duplex apartments at second + third floor levels with other associated ancillary uses in two storey over basement return building at 92. Numbers 89, 90, 91 + 92 are Protected Structures – ref. numbers 4444, 4445, 4446 and 4447 in the DCC Record of Protected Structures. The stained glass windows within this building will be salvaged and incorporated into the new building in appropriate locations. It is intended that the standard bricks and the arch bricks and granite elements will also be salvaged and incorporated into the southern and western facades of the new building to form a cloister over the sunken landscaped area on the southern side and a balcony to the Library over the landscaped garden on the western side. The works to the administration block will include modifications to connect this building to the new building to provide gym toilets + changing rooms at basement level, a new music room, toilets at ground floor level, classroom + ancillary toilets at first and second floor level and a new additional floor at third floor level. There will be internal modifications to the classroom block at all levels. The Exam Hall will be subdivided into Construction Studies rooms with materials delivery from Quinns Lane. The existing Canteen will be subdivided into 4 no. Junior School classrooms. A temporary construction access is to be formed from Quinns Lane to the site for the duration of the build.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE. CHANGE OF USE. Development consisting of renovation and extension and change of use to residential of existing 2 storey mews building on Pembroke Lane, Dublin 2, associated to 65 Fitzwilliam Square North, Dublin 2 D02 KW40. (A Protected Structure). The site is located within the curtilage of A Protected Structure RPS Ref No. 2860 and is located within an Architectural Conservation Area. Works will include a new two storey extension to the rear south facing elevation comprising kitchen/ dining area at ground level with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over with a glazed link to the existing mews. The new extension will open directly to provide garden space at ground level. Works to the existing mews building will include: 1) The removal of non original window and door ope to north facing elevation creating a new arched window at ground level and reinstatement of historic archway to side passageway leading to rear of 65 Fitzwilliam Square. 2) Enlargement of existing window opening at first floor level to create link to new extension. 3) Reconstruction and handing of brick façade to Pembroke Lane with arched gateway and separate pedestrian gate to mews courtyard. 4) Repairs and upgrading works to original fabric to include reslating of roof using salvaged slate, reconstruction of decorative roof vent box, replacement of pvc with cast iron rainwater goods, repairs and repointing to existing brickwork, replacement of non original window joinery with new appropriate painted hardwood double glazed joinery. Installation of new mechanical and electrical services together with landscaping to mews courtyard and private garden area, external services, new drainage and all associated site works including repairs to existing boundary walls.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: RGRE J&R Fitzwilliam Limited as the General Partner of the J&R Fitzwilliam Partnership intends to apply for planning permission for development to a mews building on Pembroke Lane, Dublin 2, associated to 65 Fitzwilliam Square North, Dublin 2. The subject site is located within the curtilage of a protected structure RPS Ref. No. 2860 and is located within an Architectural Conservation Area. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: & RETENTION: Retention planning permission at the Coach Houses (Nos. 14 and 15), located to the rear of 14 and 15 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, two protected structures (RPS Nos. 7772 & 7773), which the coach houses are located within the curtilage of. The site is accessed from the laneway between Nos. 20 & 21 Dawson Street, Dublin 2. The development for which retention permission is sought relates to alterations to the development permitted under Reg. Ref.: 3564/17, as amended by Reg. Ref.: 3133/18, which is currently being implemented on site and consists of the following: - Internal and external alterations at ground floor level including omission of a permitted window opening, provision of new / larger door /window openings in existing walls, alterations to stairs layout, alterations to the bathroom layout and other minor associated works; - Internal and external alterations at first floor level including relocation of the kitchen area and associated relocation of the seating area, omission of permitted window openings, provision of new / larger door / window openings in existing walls, alterations to stairs layout, alterations to the bathroom layout and other minor associated works; - The provision of a flat roof on the two storey modern extension to provide for a mechanical plant area and relocation of rooflights and ventilation extracts at roof level.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: We, the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, intend to apply for permission, for works to the National Library of Ireland, Nos.7-8 Kildare Street, Dublin 2. PROTECTED STRUCTURE – The development will consist of works to the Main Reading Room (351 sqm) East lobby (13sqm), Reprographics Room (36 sqm ) and gallery area (44sq m) to the first floor of the National Library of Ireland, Nos.7-8 Kildare Street, Dublin 2.Protected Structure (Reference RPS 4197). The proposal is to provide an enclosed glazed visitors viewing area (33 sq m) at the existing gallery in the Main Reading Room. The proposed glazed gallery is to be 1800mm wide and 2540mm internal height and set back from the existing timber balustrade. Refurbishment works to include repainting the internal walls, windows and dome area, removal of section of non-historic free standing shelving units and desks from the late 20th C. Repairs and redecoration to the 13 number late 20th C single glazed replacement timber windows to the base of the dome. Building services upgrades to include fitting controls to the non-historic column radiators located within the bookshelves, the fitting of actuators to high-level non-historic late 20th C replacement timber windows and to also include new heating, lighting and ventilation to the proposed glazed gallery. The original herring bone oak flooring is to be repaired with the mid -20th C flooring tracks removed to restore the floor to its original condition. Works to consist of lifting damaged sections of herring bone oak flooring, rerouting electrical cables below and replacing the flooring with salvaged timber from the adjacent Reprographics Room (36 m2). The floor is to be lightly sanded to remove scuff marks and finished in an appropriate conservation water-based floor Lacquer. The floor to the Reprographics Room (36 m2) is to be replaced with an oak floor of the same species, grain, size and appearance of the original.
