Planning permission for development at Blocks 3A and 3B of the Irish Life Centre (and their associated garden areas) at the Irish Life Centre, 1 Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1, D01 PK03. Block 3A is the highest block at the Irish Life Centre, directly behind the main plaza 'Chariot of Life' sculpture and water feature as viewed from Abbey Street Lower. Block 3B is behind (to the north) of Block 3A and both blocks are linked. Blocks 3A and 3B are bordered to the west by internal gardens and other blocks within the Irish Life Centre, to the east by Beresford Lane, to the north by other blocks within the Irish Life Centre, by Talbot Mall and by other properties facing onto Talbot Street and to the south by the Irish Life Plaza and beyond it by Abbey Street Lower. For temporary development at the Coach Park, former North Wall Freight Depot, Sheriff Street Upper, Dublin 1. Part of the site is located within a Conservation Area. The proposed development site is outside the Grand Canal and North Lotts Strategic Development Zone. The proposed development consists of the continued temporary use for a period of five years (subsequent to extant permission Reg. Ref. 3651/15 PL29N.245861) for accommodation and parking facility for up to 50 private coaches in delineated bus bays on existing concrete hardstand within a site of 1.5 hectares. The development includes (as constructed in accordance with Reg. Ref. 3651/15 PL29N.245861) repairs and minor expansion to the surface of the existing concrete hardstand and provision of single storey portacabin building for security and welfare facility (72m2), together with ancillary lighting, fencing, CCTV, vehicle management controls and signage, bus bay line markings and installation of drainage control infrastructure. Included is a de minimis movement of the portacabin 8m north with minor elevation changes. The facility will only permit access to empty private coaches. The coach park will continue to operate as per the existing requirements of Condition No. 3 (7am to midnight) of the extant planning permission for the site. It is intended to continue to use the former North Wall Freight Depot as a Coach Parking Facility on a temporary basis until the lands are necessary for the construction of DART Underground, for which a Railway Order has been approved. This application is also subject to a concurrent and inter-related planning application for continued temporary use of an entrance and access road (further to extant permission Reg. Ref. DSDZ3650/15) from Park Lane to the coach parking facility, which is on lands within the Grand Canal and North Lotts Strategic Development Zone.

Planning permission for development at a site of approximately 1,784 sq m at the Talbot Mall, Talbot Street, Dublin 1. The proposed development seeks permission to remove the existing signage and steel structure canopy associated with the building entrance on Talbot Street and replace it with new signage associated with the permitted supermarket granted under Reg. Ref. 2582/20. The new signage includes the installation of: 2 no. wall-mounted illuminated, corporate letter signs on the concrete facade and above the entrance door and 2 no. bracket-mounted, illuminated projecting signs affixed to the front elevation on Talbot Street.

The development will consist of the demolition of a section of the roof on the existing single-storey dwelling to allow for an additional floor level with a pitched roof profile, new fenestration and all associated site works.

PROTECTED STRUCTURE: We, Mescar Designated Activity Company, intend to apply for planning permission for development comprising the erection of signage associated with permitted Purpose-Built Student Accommodation development (ABP Reg. Ref. 303615-19; DCC Reg. Ref. SHD0004/19, amended under Reg. Ref. LRD6023/24-S3) at this site at 124-126 Parnell Street (a protected structure RPS Ref: 6421), Dublin 1 (formerly known as Kennedy Bakery / Parnell Business Centre) and including frontage to Temple Lane North at 4, 4A & 4B Temple Lane North (formerly known as premises to rear of 13 Gardiner Street). The proposed development will consist of the erection of 2 no. signs comprising: i. 1 no. single-sided, powder-coated illuminated sign (2.0m x 0.309m, total area 0.618 sq.m.) located on the principal southern elevation fronting Parnell Street. The sign will be located within the entrance carriageway below the existing sign for ‘St Peter’s Bakery’ and above the entrance gate at ground floor level and will comprise of built-up halo illuminated letters and associated fixings; ii. 1 no. double-sided, illuminated aluminium projecting panel sign with stencil cut details (2.4m x 0.98m, total area of 2.352 sq.m) fixed to the northern elevation fronting Temple Lane North at third floor level. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Development comprising the erection of temporary signage associated with permitted Purpose-Built Student Accommodation development (ABP Reg. Ref. 303615-19; DCC Reg. Ref. SHD0004/19) at this site at 124-126 Parnell Street (a protected structure RPS Ref: 6421), Dublin 1 (formerly known as Kennedy Bakery / Parnell Business Centre) and including frontage to Temple Lane North at 4, 4A & 4B Temple Lane North (formerly known as premises to rear of 13 Gardiner Street). The Proposed development will consist of the erection of 1 no. temporary mesh marketing sign (14.87 x 4.34m, total area 64.89 sqm) fixed to the external envelope of the scaffolding for the duration of the construction period (c. August 2024 - June 2025) fronting onto Parnell Street. There are no works proposed to the protected structure.
The development will consist of (i) extending to the side of the existing single storey extension at the rear of the dwelling (ii) raising the ridge height of the house and building an upper floor extension over the existing ground floor existing and proposed extension works comprising two bedrooms, a bathroom and storage areas iii) a new stair access from the ground floor and (iv) all associated internal site and drainage work.
