Concrete plant (715sq.m) with a maximum height of 18 metres; extension to the extension to the existing Dry Mortar 'Flomix' plant (302sq.m) with a maximum height of 33.3 metres (Ref. SD16A/0410); truck wash out bays (187sq.m); a water storage tank (35sq.m.); ancillary facilities within a 1.50 hectare application area at the existing quarry.

The development will consist of a new enclosed HVO generator (75.6 sq.metres) with bunded transformer and fuel storage tank (double-skinned with leak detection system) on a concrete plinth all within an application area of 310 sq.metres at the existing quarry. The development is a revision to the HVO generator scheme permitted under planning ref. SD23A/0343.

An extension (600sq.m) to a storage shed (1805sq.m) (Ref.SD12A/0156); cover for 3 existing ground level aggregate storage bays (c.651sq.m); 2 storage containers at quarry garage (c.28.8sq.m); 1 storage container at quarry void (c.28.8sq.m); removal of 2 storage containers (c.59sq.m); extension to storage shed within the retail shop yard (172.5sq.m) (Ref. SD16A/0239) on a site of 0.1822 hectares.

New storage and maintenance shed (780sq.m); An extension to the existing laboratory (281 sq.m); A new enclosed HVO generator with transformer and fuel storage tank (internally bunded) on a concrete plinth (156sq.m), all within a 0.3 hectare application area at the existing quarry.

The development within an area of 4.1 hectares will comprise of: A new concrete plant (7,271 sq metres), comprising enclosed mixing units, 16 no. cement silos (c. 23 metres height), enclosed aggregate storage bins (c. 16.5 metres height), feed conveyor systems, & 2 no. control rooms; a replacement truck wash out facility (1,237 sq. metres); and related ancillary works within a 4.2 hectare application area at the existing quarry. The new concrete plant will replace the three existing concrete plants on site, all of which will be decommissioned upon commencement of operation of the new plant.

Deepening of part (c. 43ha.) of the existing and permitted quarry (An Bord Pleanala refs. 301177 & QD0026) to a quarry floor level of -10mOD using conventional blasting techniques; use of mobile processing plant; product stockpiles; final restoration scheme and all ancillary works within a planning application area of 49.4ha and within the overall landholding of 241.6ha and will be accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR).
