The development will consist of the demolition of: a part-single, part-two storey former cash & carry building to the rear of Nos. 10-13 Thomas Street West, Dublin 8, D08 VH9W, with vehicular access to Rainsford Street to the south (c. 2,939 sq m); a two storey structure (over part cellar) vacant building at Nos. 1-3 Thomas Court, Dublin 8 (c. 476 sq m) and making good of the southern elevation of the adjoining No. 28 Thomas Street West (“Arthur’s Pub”), Dublin 8, D08 VF83 (Protected Structure, RPS No. 8152); and selected boundary walls. The development will include the following: (i) raising the wall plate level and the ridge height to facilitate raising floors to bring the floor to ceiling heights in line with current building regulations, (ii) altering the window cill and head levels to suit the new floor levels, (iii) internal renovations throughout the building, (iv) all associated site works.
The development will consist of demolition of the existing single storey building (389sq.m which has been previously approved under Reg. Ref. 3503/16) which extends from Ushers Island to Island Street and the construction of a mixed used development to Ushers Island comprising of 48.8sq.m commercial space for an office to ground floor along with private access to residential amenities space including bin stores, plant room, bike storage and communal space. Above 3 no. 2 bed apartments split over 3 floors accessed via a common stair core and lift. Private balconies area proposed to the front and rear elevations. Associated groundworks, landscaping, drainage, engineering and ancillary works necessary to facilitate the development to be included to site.
The proposed development will consist of the insertion of 1 no. new car parking space into the existing semi-basement car park. This will result in a total of 43 no. car parking spaces being provided without affecting existing provision for bicycle parking or waste management / bin storage at semi-basement level. No other changes are proposed to the existing building.
Planning permission for development at their community resource premises. The development will consist of a material change of use of the existing flat roof at the rear and side of the SICCDA building for use as a roof garden, together with the installation of a balustrade guarding to the perimeter of the proposed new roof garden and the increase of this roof level thickness to upgrade its technical performance. Permission is also sought for a new external escape stair in their side yard at the west side of the building and the replacement of the existing canopy at that location and associated site works and for the installation of a smoke vent to a protected stairway.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The development will consist of; a. Provision of shopfront with individually pin mounted partially back lit fascia signage, to the front elevation of the Pharmacy. b. Provision of a projecting cross-shaped sign to the front of the elevation of the pharmacy. c. The proposed works are to a Protected Structure RPS reference number 8776 (National Inventory of Architectural Heritage reference number 50080606).
Removal of existing vehicular access, installation of new 2.8m wide vehicular access, new wall pier and gates, alterations to existing boundary walls & piers and installation of sections of timber fencing to a finished height of 2 metres and relocation of side gate.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The development will consist of: (i) Repair and refurbishment of existing single storey and two-storey structure (a Protected Structure) (ii) Construction of a part 5-storey, part 6-storey hostel development consisting of the following: (a) 4 no. floors of hostel accommodation above existing single storey building and 4 no. floors of hostel accommodation above existing two-storey building; (b) 49 no. bedrooms comprising 44 no. double bedrooms and 5 no. triple bedrooms (8 no. at first floor, 11 no. at second floor, 11 no. at third floor, 11 no. at fourth floor and 8 no. at fifth floor); (c) 2 no. kitchen facilities, 1 no. pantry, cold room, fridge, sluice room, storeroom, plant room, laundry room, meeting room, administration, reception, 2 no. changing rooms, 3 no. showers and 3 no. WC all at ground floor level; 2no. communal areas (52.8 sqm and 23 sqm) at first floor level; 1 no. communal area (22.7 sqm) & a roof terrace (50 sqm) both at fifth floor level; and (d) 10 no. external bicycle parking spaces. the hostel will be accessed from both Island Street and Usher’s Island. The development includes all associated boundary treatments, inclusive of refurbishment of existing entrance gateway on Usher’s Island, site works and engineering necessary to facilitate the development.
Permission for the continuation of temporary use, as previously granted under planning permission reference number 3295/10 and 3614/17 of the existing development at this site at the junction of St. John's Road West and Military Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8 with access from Military Road. Kilmainham. The existing development consists of the installation of service plant items to facilitate the operations of the existing data centre. The service plant is currently housed in a number of cabins on a temporary basis. Planning permission is sought for a period of ten years. The existing service plant items and cabins are as follows: 2 no. 12m x 3m plant enclosures, 4 no. 3.5m x 2.2m plant enclosures, 2 no. 7m x 3.2m cabins, 4 no. 5.5 x 2.4m cabins, 2 no. 3.5m x 3.5m cabins, 1 no. cabin housing a pump station, 1 no. 5.7m x 4.5m cabin and 2no. 4m x 3m oil tanks. The existing development also includes a temporary fence and gate on Military Road, which replaced the previous fence and gates and associated site development works within the site.
Demolition of a 23.5m2 single storey extension to rear and construction of a new 50m2 single storey and partial two storey extension to rear consisting of a new kitchen, dining, utility and living area on the ground floor and additional bedroom with en-suite on the first floor.
